De Leuvense Milow ontvangt de Europese muziekprijs voor zijn album 'Milow'. Hiermee zet de Europese commissie de creativiteit en diversiteit van de Europese, hedendaagse muziek in de bloemetjes.
Naast de prijs van de jury is er sinds dt jaar ook een publieksprijs. Stemmen kan van midden november.
Op 14 januari 2010 worden de prijzen tijdens EuroSonic Noorderslag in Nederland uitgereikt. De show wordt gepresenteerd door de Britse tv-figuur Jools Holland en is in heel Europa live op televisie te zien op 16/10.
